The SAFS is a non-profit organization dedicated to foster and advance friendship and goodwill between the people of the state of Colorado and Switzerland through social and cultural programs. We strive to serve all persons having a natural interest in the two nations.

Welcome to Summer!
We have a few great events still to come, including our camping trip July 17th - 19th and the annual First of August Celebration on Sunday August 2nd.
This year we have really been trying to focus on our members. New members and old members who have been with us for years! If you do not already know, the Swiss American Friendship Society is a registered Non-profit organization, this means that we don’t make a profit off of you or the money you pay towards event registrations, the only thing we want to do is bring us all together over our shared love of Switzerland!
Since we are a non-profit, the registration fee that you pay each year is important to us. We use this money to give experiences back to you. This year we have already held a member’s brunch (sponsored by Telluride Stone) and given free trucker hats to members that joined us at the Aurora Fest Parade of Nations. We are also covering the cost of camping and will be hosting a free Christmas party for Member children. We respect that not everyone may want to pay the membership fee, especially if you only come to one event per year, but we hope that you will consider becoming a member and supporting our club!

SAFS Camping Trip

YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch
Granby, CO
Join us again this year at the YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch for an epic camping weekend! This is a free event for current SAFS members. Spend two nights camping with us at the YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch in Granby, CO. We have reserved campsites that can accommodate multiple tents (camper vans or small trailers are welcome but space is limited so please let us know if you are interested in bringing one). Camping sites will be shared. We will be asking each party to provide bring a dish to share.This event will be free for SAFS Members. Register by clicking the link below, but you can reach out to us by email if you have questions or want to bring a trailer.
If camping isn't your thing you can reserve a spot at the nearby lodge or yurts and join us for all activities. If you make one of these reservations, these will be at your own expense, the club is only paying for the reserved campsites. You can see other lodging options here at the Snow Mountain Ranch website. Make sure that you reserve at the Snow Mountain Ranch location in Granby. The website is shared with YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park.

Register Now for the SAFS Annual Swiss Day Celebration
Join us for The Swiss American Friendship Society invites its members, our partner-club Swiss Society of Denver and all family & friends of both organizations to the Swiss National Holiday Party.
Join us this year on Sunday, Aug 2nd from 3pm – 7pm at our usual spot: TEV Edelweiss Klub in Morrison.
There will be activities for kids, muscle-contests for any age in form of the “Unspunnen-Stein throwing”, music, beer & cider from the tap, silent auction and – most importantly – great food provided by our Swiss Chef Ruedi Elsner. New this year- face painting!!
Admission fees for SAFS Members- $30 per person, SSoD members are $35 per person, Non-members $50 per person, kids 6-12 are $5 and kids 5 and under are free. Find the Registration link below. On Tuesday Sept 16, 2025, the Swiss Consulate aired two Webinars with important information regarding taxes and finance questions for Swiss citizens living abroad: dual taxation, pensions, wealth management, inheritance etc. If you were not able to join the live Webinars the recordings from the presentations can be found here.
