Join us on Saturday, June 15, for our annual Father’s Day Hike!
Meet us on Saturday, June 15th, at 10 AM at the Mt Falcon West Trailhead:
Everyone is welcome to participate. We’re going to hike Mt Falcon's Castle Trail from the West Trailhead.
PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT the East trailhead that is close to the Edelweiss Clubhouse. From the city, take Hwy 285 South to the Indian Hills exit, 2nd exit west of C-470 and follow Parmalee Gulch Rd 2.7 miles to Picitus Rd, keep following signs to Mt Falcon until you reach the end with an upper and lower parking lot.
Follow GoogleMaps for directions: https://goo.gl/maps/HZsgKR6jwHsDNLNx8
Castle Trail is a little over 3 miles round-trip. The turnaround spot is the Summer White House which was going to be a getaway spot for future presidents but was abandoned in 1911 after lack of funding. Mt Falcon West Trailhead is a perfect location for a picnic so pack a lunch to enjoy following the hike. Bring beverages in cans or boxed only.
